Redan rises in the East

Mutare’s leading service station, Mutare Flyover is again setting the pace as they launch the new Redan brand. Redan Mutare Flyover is located at the heart of the town and has been serving Mutare for the past 3 years.

“We are excited to  have Mutare’s fagship  site fying under the  Redan banner”,

said Mr.  Cydwell Chitewe, General Manager  for Redan. “Mutare Flyover is one  of an elite group of service stations  that has managed to attain a 5-star  rating from ZERA (Zimbabwe Energy  Regulatory Authority). 

 “Redan has been a sleeping giant; we  have been re-organising our business  model over the past few years  and our return to the retail space  should not be a surprise to anyone. Mr. Basera reflects the calibre and entrepreneurial spirit that has made Redan a contender against the giants in our industry”. 

Redan Mutare Flyover was built by  Rivercome Trading (Private) Limited, a  company owned and operated by local  businessman Greenmore Basera. Mr  Basera explained, “We have a vision to  grow our network of service stations,  and key to us was having the right fuel  supply partner, and we chose Redan.  As a local company we are proud to be  associated with a local fuel company  

but one that operates to global  standards”.  

Mr. Basera’s son and managing  Director of Rivercome Trading (Private)  Limited, Mr Taku Basera further shared  that Rivercome Trading, in partnership with Redan had also recently opened another site in Rusape which is conveniently located just outside Rusape away from the congestion and bustle in the CBD. “We plan to offer the motoring public travelling on the  Harare-Mutare highway a convenient  stop to rest, refuel and refresh. We  plan to open a takeaway and offer tyre  services in the near future”, he said. 

Mutare Flyover is not just a fuel  station but offers additional services including tyre services and a kiosk  that serves freshly baked goods. The  Mutare Redan Coupon sales ofce is  also located at the site.

The motoring public is being short-changed as industry players pay less and less  attention to providing good service.  Our retail standards demand that  our teams offer free services such as  windscreen cleaning, oil and water  checks, and free tyre pressure checks. Such services have become a thing of  the past on most service stations but  create a conducive driving experience.  

As Redan we strive to go beyond filling up your tank and look to delivering  exceptional customer experiences. We  therefore invest heavily in training and  recently we invited our regulator ZERA,  to train our managers on expected  operational standards to ensure  that we operate safely and in full  compliance to expected standards”.
